Changing Lives: Lucas’ Story

Knightstown High School Job’s for America’s Graduates (JAG) student, Lucas, was donned ‘Outstanding Senior’ at Eastern Indiana Works’ 2025 Career Development Conference hosted by the East Central Indiana Educational Service Center!

The conference, attended by local business leaders, educators, and JAG program students from eight area high schools, includes a full day of networking and competitions, furthering the goal of helping young people plan and pursue their dreams for life after graduation.

When asked about this achievement, Lucas shared, “I love being in JAG. This is a huge accomplishment for me and a giant step for my future career. Now, I feel like I’m prepared and have gained the confidence to take my next step in life.”

Lucas’ JAG Specialist added, “Lucas leads by example, is a mentor and leader, and is willing to do what it takes to teach others to be better. He has endured hardship and has come through as a better person, gained confidence, and developed a never give up attitude. He displays this daily. He is a true example of always be humble and kind.”
